If your life were a movie, what role would you play? News flash, you aren’t the main character; that’s God’s job, but you do have a role. You have unique scenes and lines of dialogue that no one else can deliver. You also interact with people that others will not.

The question is this: How are you using your unique station in life and the sphere of influence that God has given you for Kingdom impact?

If you’re a stay-at-home mom, you have a unique window in time to disciple and steward what God has given you.

If you own a business, you have the opportunity to reflect God to every customer and employee and steward the finances He gives you for Kingdom impact.

Maybe you’re a student and can interact with more people than you will at any other time in your life.

If you’re an empty nester, impart the wealth of wisdom you’ve accrued and use your gifts in the local church!

2 Corinthians 2:15 NIV

For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.

Just like when your mom baked fresh cookies, and the entire house would come running toward the smell as they were pulled out of the oven, your life has a fragrance that can attract others to the love of God.

Each weekend at Milestone Church, we hear stories of people having life-changing encounters with Jesus, and the cool thing is that these encounters are very often tied to someone else in their lives who extended an invite or modeled the love of God.

The truth is, the more myopic and self-focused we get, the more frustrated and unfulfilled life can be. Jesus was God in flesh. He could have come down from heaven as a glorious King, ruling and establishing His dominion over Rome and all other rulers of that time.

Instead, He came as a humble servant. He washed His own disciples' feet. He lived on mission and left us the Great Commission.

When you shift your focus from what others can do for you to what you can do, through God, for others, not only will God be pleased, but you’ll find life more fulfilling.

Instead, He came as a humble servant. He washed His own disciples' feet. He lived on mission and left us the Great Commission.

What area of your life can you use for Kingdom impact going into the fall? Specifically, who are the people you will interact with who need to know Jesus? Take a moment to write down some names and begin praying for ways to show them the love of Jesus.

Ask God to show you how to live a life of legacy this fall for something that lasts.

John 13:34-35 NIV

34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Hebrews 10:24-25 NIV

24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
